Adoration for Vocations
Adoration for Vocations assists the lay faithful in rediscovering the gift of the Eucharist while promoting vocations to the priesthood and all forms of consecrated life. Adoration for Vocations is the Eucharistic devotion whereby members of a given parish (or other entity) unite in praying hours of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament for an increase in vocations to the Church. Eucharistic Adoration for Vocations is a concrete response to Christs invitation to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers to the harvest.
In response to His Holiness, Worldwide Adoration for Vocations sponsored by www.vocation.com and Adoration for Vocations, in collaboration with the Holy See, provides all the resources needed to effectively launch Eucharistic Adoration for Vocations in parishes, dioceses and other groups. The flexible Adoration for Vocations program is easily modified to meet the needs of any setting, from the smallest parish to the largest Cathedral. Program materials are available for download from the www.vocation.com website free of charge.
Registration of your parish or Adoration group on the Adoration for Vocations portion of www.vocation.com website insures that your Adoration for Vocations site and your adoration hours are counted and reported to The Holy See, as part of the worldwide Adoration for Vocations statistics. The simple registration process quickly allows visitors to enter their name, location, and the times of the hours of Eucharistic adoration that they will be offering for vocations in their home parish, chapel or shrine. The website displays a 24-hour worldwide calendar of participating adorers thus bringing together those discerning a vocation and those supporting vocations with their prayers and sacrifices. The worldwide initiative has already attracted registered adorers from 48 countries on seven continents!
Adoration for Vocations and www.vocation.com look forward to working with you to launch your own Adoration for Vocations program for the Glory of God and the good of the Universal Church. Requests for additional assistance may be addressed to: website@vocation.com
