	David asks: Hello, I am discerning a vocation to the priesthood and am very attracted to the life in a religious order. My problem is that I currently take two medications. While they are for very small medical problems that would not interfere with anything in the religious life at all, I will probably have to take them for the rest of my life. Would it ever be possible for me to enter a religious order? Or would the diocesan priesthood be the only possibility open for me? Or maybe this means I don't have a calling at all? 	Dear David, The answer to your questions (do the medications mean you are called to diocesan and not religious priesthood, or not called to the priesthood at all?) depends entirely on the nature of your medical problem, the type of medicines you take and their secondary effects in the short and long term. Now, you say the medical problem is small and that it would not interfere with anything in the religious life. If that's the case there would not seem to be a problem. You would have to verify this by taking it up with the religious order you are interested in. God bless.
