	Sam asks: I come from a big family, and I always thought that it would be nice if one of us became a priest or a nun. When I was little my family were very active members of our church because my mother used to work in a convent and I was born on the birthday of a missionary sister, I'm not sure if this was just a coincidence or God was trying to tell me something. I always wanted to grow up to be like one of the people who gave catechism classes, I admired them and wanted to be like them. I wanted to be close to church and somehow be an active member. Until recently I never thought of offering my life to God. But now I'm having thoughts of becoming a nun or somehow serving God but I'm not sure, what my real call in life is.... When I was getting confirmed and the lights were dimmed, I was near the altar and I heard somebody call my name, when I turned there was nobody around the altar except Jesus in the cross, I'm not sure if this was a calling or I'm just hearing things. Please help.
	Dear Sam, I can't tell if it was just your imagination or not, but I wouldn't give too much importance to it anyway. What matters most here is the gradual development there has been in your life, the constant attraction you have had towards giving your life to God, especially once you brought prayer more into your life. So I think you should put yourself in God's hands every time you pray, and begin looking into various religious orders. Start with the one you are most familiar with, and see what happens. This will give you much more to go on than any other feelings or signs that you can't figure out.
