If your son asked you to find out some general things about becoming a priest he has taken you into his confidence, and I don't think you should simply step out of it completely now that the first enquiries you have made were not answered. I think it would be good to tell him what you have tried, ask him if he feels more attracted to diocesan or religious life, encourage him to do some looking as well, to write to any orders he has heard about and interest him. It might help if the two of you agree on a day of the week in which you are both going to offer all your prayers, Mass, Rosary, for the intention that he finds out what God wants of him, and has the generosity to do it.
